REGULAR COUNCIL ;" ETING
June 9, 1970
The City Council met in regular session June 9, 1970 at ?:30 PM. Present;
Mayor hackler; Alden yen; l .artin, Mauk, Thomas, Addicks and Dodd; City Mgr.
Mathis ; Water Supt. Allen, City Secy. Gallagher, with Baker City Attorney
absent.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor heckler. l he minutes of the last
regular meeting of 5y 12, 1970 .nd also special meetings of May 11, 1970
and May 18, 1970 were read and approved as read on motion by Alderman Thomas
and seconded by Alderman Addicks . Motion carried.
Mr. Gill nith the Texas G.,uality Uontrol Board met with Council in reference
to serving permits for sewage to Mobil Home Parks outside City Limits . This
wa discussed and laayor hackler called a meeting on June 15, 1070 at 7:30 PM_
to discuss same and also to further discuss and study the sewer pro osal of
Henningson and Durham and Richardson.
Representatives with HDR discussed sewer problems . Council told them to go
ahead with proposal by Engineers and to start aroceedings on City Sewer
System Plan. Motion by Alderman Thomas and seconded by Alderman Mauk to
authorize HDR to _r_ ake ap 1ication for Grant from Public Law 660 funds .
Unanimous Ayes .
Motion by Alderman Addicks and seconded by Alderman Mauk to pass a Resolut-
ion to give Mayor heckler power to sign all papers for the Sewer Improvement ....
Program. Unanimous Ayes.
Public hearing on Zoning of Lot 10-N 21 Ft of Lot 9, Blk 114. Railroad Addn.
from single family dwelling to commercial district. Granted on motion by
Ald. Thomas and seconded by Ald. Dodd. Unanimous Ayes .
Mayor Heckler appointed Charlie Shields, Ray Sheeks and bell Ellenburg to
serve on Tax Equalization Board for City, to meet on Saturday July 11, 1970
from 9:00 to 3:00 and also Saturday July 25, 1970 from 9:00to 12:00 Noon.
notion by Ald. Dodd and seconded by Ald. Martin. All Ayes .
Motion by Ald. Addicks and seconded by Alderman Thomas to accept Metal
Utility Buklliing for payment. Unanimous Ayes .
On motion b , Alderman Addicks and seconded by Alderman Thomas to have gas
stops on all new houses and -pare green tags on all electrical meters before
service can be rendered. Unimous Ayes .
Monthly bills were read discussed and approved to be paid on mot=on by
Ald. Addicks and seconded by Ald. Mauk. '`lotion carried.
Motion by Alderman A?.dicks and seconded by Alderman Thomas to have plans
drawn to scale anti resented to City before issuing Bldg. Permits . All Ayes .
Ed Collins with Wylie Butane Gas Company met with Council im reference to �-
replacing the now existing water line with a larger on with n.o cost to
the City. Approved by Council on motion by Aid. Thomas and seconded by
Alerrman Addicks . Unanimous Ayes .

70-8. An Ordinance annexing tre HUY ri`htofEway 1/2 mile in length in a

Council on motion by Alderman Addicks anc3 seconded by Alderman I:auk to
bring new City Property of 40 acres of land for the Sanitary Landfill
into the City Limits . Unanimous Ayes .
