SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
July 20, 1970
The City Council met in Special Session Monday, July 20, 1970
at 7:300 P. M. in the City Hall.
Those present were: Mayor Hackler; Aldermen, Dodd, Martin, Mauk,
Thomas and Addicks; City Secretary Oneida Gallagher with City
Manager Mathis absent. Mr. Mathis was attending a fire school
at A & M.
This meeting was called for the purpose of discussing utility
rates with Frank Medanich of First Southwest Company, Financial
Consultants and Frank Razor of Henningson, Durham and Richardson
Consuitimg Engineers, and also to pass an Orainance #70-11 in
reference to Street Numbering. Motion was made by Alderman
Mat3tin and seconded by Alderman Thomas that Ordinance #70-11
requiring street numbers to be placed upon all buildings in the
City of Wylie be adopted. The motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Medanich discussed utility rates and the proposed Bond Issue.
Motion was made by Alderman Thomas and seconded by Alderman
Martin that Ordinance #70-12, Providing for Increased Water and
Sewer Rates for the City of Wylie allowing sufficient revenue
for a Bond Issue, be adopted. The Motion carried unanimously.
Frank Razor agreed to send charts for the increased water rate
to be c arged by the City of Wylie.
