August 25,1970
The City Council met in Special session August 25, 1970 at 7:30
PM. in City Hall, Those Present; Mayor Hackler; Aldermen Dodd,
Thomas, Martin, Addicks and Mauk; City Manager Mathis and City
Water Supt. N . A. Allen.
Motion by Alderman Dodd and seconded by Alderman Thomas to approve
the revised plat of a part of Block A & B of Lavon Terrace.
Mr. Jim Nichols met with Council to request Utility Service for Lot
1 Block 7 of Eldridge Addition. After discussing this request, motion
by Ald. Addicks and seconded by Ald. Mauk to allow a pat on the 2"
water line in this addition with the understanding that low water
pressure is present on this water line and the City is not re-
sponsible for the correction of this problem. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Ald. Thomas and seconded by Ald. s'iauk for the
City to extend a sewer main up the alley East to this property
for sewer servide and that the City will not allow any more
building in this area unless requirements of the subdivision
Ordinance are met. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Ald. Martin and seconded by Ald. Thomas -to
call a 3ond Election on Sanitary Sewer Improvements for Saturday,
September, 26, 1970. Motion carried.
A work session was held on the 1970-71 Budget for the City of
Wylie and another meeting to be called in the future to finalize
the Budget.
