September 29, 1970
On this , the 29, day of September, 1970, the City Council convened
in regular session at the regular meeting place in the City Hall,
the meeting being open to tie public and notice of said meeting giving
the date, place and subject thereof, having been posted. With the
following members present: Mayor nackler; Aldermen: Dodd, Addicks,
Thomas, Martin and Mauk.
The presiding Officer introduced the following Resolution:
"A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS,
CONVASSING RETURNS AND DECLARING THE RESULT OF A BOND ELECTION HELD
IN THE SAID CITY OF T-!E CITY OF WYLIE ON TUE 26TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER,
�970"
Alderman Addicks moved its adoption, and Alderman Martin seconded
the motion carrying with it the ado >tion of the resolution. All Ayes,
Noes; None.
THE PROPOSED 1970-1071 BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF `JVYLIE, TEXAS WAS
DISCUSED AND STUDIED. Motion by Alderman Thomas and second by Ald.
Mauk that the proposed 1970-1971 budget for the city of Wylie, Texas
as herein submitted totaling $254,095.00 be adopted and on this
motion Five (5) voted AYE and None voted NAYE.
Council considered rates to be charged for use of Sanitary Ln idfill
by people outside the City Limits of Wylie. There will be an Ordinance
drawn and will be effective as of October 1, 1970.
Frank Razor and Bob Pearce with H D & R met with Council. Mr. Razor
presented a report from Austin. Council authorized HDScR to start plans
and bring contract to next Regular Council meeting in October, 12, 1970.
Council on motion by Ald. Mauk and second by Ald. Martin to renew
note at First State Bank of Wylie, in the amount of Seven Thousand Dollars
(7,000.00) for a period of twelve (12) months, interest rate of eight
per cent (8%) per annum. Passed and approved the 29th day of September,
1970 on the question Unanimous Ayes .
On the discussion for sewer for Mobil Homes: The Council would look
favorable upon the request for sewer service in areas adjacent to the
City, if the areas would Annex to the City and meet the Subdivision
and Master Plans of the City of Wylie.
Motion by Alderman Dodd and second by Alderman Addicks to hire a dis-
patcher for the Wylie Police Department at $2.00 per hour not to
exceed 19 hr. per week. Motion carried.
Motion by Alderman Dodd and second by Alderman Thomas to gigs re-
toractive pay to City Patrolemn to September 1, 1970, on $50.00
raise. Motion carried.
Mayor Hackler called the next Regular Council Meeting to be held on
Monday, October 12, 1970.
