OCTOBER 12, 1970
The city Council met in regular session October 12, 1970, at 7:30 PM in
City Hall. Present Mayor Hackler; Aldermen; Martin, Addicks, Mauk and
Thomas with Ald. Dodd later. City Atty. Bob Baker; City Manager Mathis
Water Supt. Allen and City Secy. Oneida Gallagher.
Minutes of the last regular meeting of September 8, 1970 and Special
meetings of Sept. 17, 1970 and Sept. 29,1970 were read and approved as
read on motion by Ald. Martin and seconded by Ald. Mauk. All Ayes .
Lewis Turner and OK Allen ask the Council for re-Zoning their property
for adding to present 'Building. Council said they would` refer this 'to
the Planning`'and Zoning Board. Motion by Dodd and sec by Mauk. All Ayes.
Request by J. E. White for storage for wrecked vehicles. Council turned
this to Planning and Zoning Board on motion by Alderman Martin and sec.
by Alderman Thomas All Ayes .
Monthly bills for September, 1970 were read discussed and approved to be
paid on motion by Ald. Martin and seconded by Alderman Addicks . All Ayes .
Ordinancd # 78-1
An Ordinance regulating Garbage disposal by non-commercial users and non-
resdient users of the City requiring a permit for the use of Sanitary
Landfill, providing for a penalty and declareing and emergency. otion
by Alderman Addicks and seconded by Alderman Thomas . All Ayes .
Mr. and Mrs . Rash met with Council concerning the proposed annexation of
69. acres of land on West 544 to City of Wylie for a Mobil Home Park and
- other dwellings, on the question of allowing a Mobil Home Park on the land
that is proposed to be annexed, a poll Bf those present was as follows:
Aldermen Mauk, Thomas an Addikks voted yes and it was decided to proceed
with the request for annexation of this land to the City of Wylie .
Frank Razor with HD&R Engineers, presented the agreement for Engineering
Services for Sewer Improvement Program for the City of Wylie, Texas .
lotion by 61d . Addicks and sec by Alderman Mauk to enter into the agreement
and contract for professional services and to issue work orders # 1 & 2.
The estimated cost of this project is $250,000.00. All Ayes .
Henry Martinez met wit'., Council co cerning land to build addition to Sewer
Plant and. Easement for 'dater Line Extensions . After a lengthy discussion
it was decided that the City would draw up aon easement for the water
system addition installed under agreement with Mr. Ed Collins and Mr.
Henry Martinez.
"r. Collins was present and sic' if the pipe is m t bought and layed by the
end of this Council Term it would not be held against present Council.
The Council on Motion by Ald. Thomas and seconded by Ald. Dodd to combine
Water Uses as one charge for the Wylie Independent School District.
Motion Carried.
Motion by Alderman Mauk and seconded by Alderman Martin to Adjourn.
