The City Council met in regular session November 10, 1970 in City Hall

0. Gallagher. Bob Baker, City Attorney absent.
The meeting was called to order by M yor Hackler. Minutes of the last
regular meeting of October 12, 1970 and also special meetings of October
20, 1970 and November 9, 1970 were read and approved by Alderman lhomas
and seconded by Alderman Addicks . : ot.-'on carried.
I' r. and i`Trs . Rash met with Council to withdraw their petition to Annex
property on HWY 544 to the City of Wylie . Council advised they would get
legal advice from City Atty. Baker for agreement. On the question motion
by Alderman Addicks and seconded by Alderman Thomas . All Ayes .
Utility rates Moo i' nbil Home Parks was tabled until further study.
Purchase of land for Sanitary Sewer Improvement Program. Council wo:.;ld
negotiate with owner.
Letter frog- Planning --nd Zoning Board for recozorendations to Council on
0. K. Allen. Council on motion by Ald. Addicks and sec ;nded by Alderman
:.'auk to give varance to Mr. Allen to proceed with Building Car Port.
'lotion by Alderman Addicks and seconded by Alderman Thomas to give
varance to 1,r. Turner to add a room onto his house . notion carried.
No act on taken by Council of' Mr. J. E. Juhite since the request Was not
signed by owner.
Motion by Alderman Thomas and seconded by Alderman Dodd to refer Louse
Numbering Map to Mr. Nathan Eldridge, Post Master, for his recommendations .
All Ayes .
Monthly bills for October were read disca.,ssed and ap roved to be paid on
motion by Alderman Martin and seconded by Alderman Mauk. Motion carried.
Motion by Alderman Dodd and seconded by Alderman Addicks to pay Melvin
Ellis for the broken windshield caused by the city mower when it was
replaced. All Ayes .
James Caton met with Council in reference to petition for the procedures
and changes in t e organization and operation of the Wylie Police
Department. No action taken by Council.
Motion to adjourn by Alderman Thomas and seconded by Alderman Mauk. All Ayes .
