REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
March 9, 1971
The City Council met in regular session in City Hail, Tuesday, March
9, 1971, at 7:30 PM. Present: Mayor Hackler; Aldermen; Martin, Thomas,
and Addicks; City Atty. Bob Baker; City Manager Mathis and City Secy.
Oneida Gallagher. Alderman Dodd and Mauk absent.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor nackier.
Representatives with Explorer Pipeline Company met with Council to
explain route for their pipeline and size of pipe, South of Wylie .
Motion by Alderman Thomas and sec nded by Alderman Addicks to accept
their route. All Ayes .
Official hearing on zoning by Henry and Alex Martinez on approximately
50 acres of land to change from Single Family Residential to I 1 Light
Industry that would allow Mooil Home Parks . Request was approved on
motion by Alderman Addicks and seconded oy Alderman Martin. All Ayes .
Mayor Hackler read a letter from Zoning Board to approve varance to
City Building 0ode to allow an outside fenced storage for automobils
for Mr. Mairtinez . Council on motion by Ald. Addicks and seconded by
Alderman Thomas to allow this varance. All Ayes.
Mayor Hackler certified the Candidates for Alderman. On question if
all had lived in State for one year -J-id City for six months, All Qualified.
otion by Alderman Addicks and seconded by Alderman Thomas to draw places
on Ballot by four (L4) Candidates for Aldermen. All Ayes.
Place 1 Billy J. Davis Place 3 John Addicks
Place 2 Stan Bartell ?lace 4 Donald R. Thomas
To be placed upon the Official Ballot for Election to be held April
3, 1971, as a candidate for two years .
Wrecker service was discusses. Council told j'-r. White, on Motion by
Aid. Thomas and seoncdea by Aid. Addicks they signed a contract with
Hi-Way Wrecking for two years . White also ask for a Radio Dispatch
number on 160 frecuency. Council tabled this until they could study
it further.
Bill Story and Danny Clark met with Council to discuss a new pumper
truck for the fire department. Council wanted to discuss this further
and would oring up at the ist regular meeting in June.
Mr. Pearce met with Council to discuss bias on section of sewer system
improvements, on the first phase. Motion oy Alderman Addicks and sec.
by Alderman Martin to issue work order and ask for bids to lay 5700
feet of sewer line . Unanimous Ayes.
Motion by Alderman Martin and seconded by Alderman Thomas to call for
bids on a new Sanitation Truck. A .1 Ayes.
Motion oy Alderman ~?dicks and seconded oy Alderman Martin to pay
Monthly Dills for February. Motion carried.

Minutes of March 9, 1971 Continued;
Minutes of the regular meeting of February 9, 1971 and February
23, 1971 and also special meetings of February 15, 1971, February
24, 1971 and March 8, 1971 were approved on motion by Alderman Thomas
and seconded by Alderman iviartin. Ail Ayes .
Motion to adjourn by Alderman Thomas nd seconded by Alderman Martin.
Ail Ayes . Meeting adjourned.
