June 8, 1971
The City Council met in regular session June 8, 1971 in City Hall at
7:30 PM. Present; Mayor-Pro-Tem Dodd; Aldermen; 'Thomas, Addicks, Mauk
and 'Davis . City Mgr. Mathis; '.7ater Supt. Allen. Mayor Hackler and
City Secy. Gallagher absent.
Mr. Story, Mr. Clark and Mr. Rawlings prc seated specs . on Fire Truck
estimated cost $20,000. Tabled until next regular Council meeting.
Council ask Atty. Baker to draft an rdinance on Public hearing r:eld
on Annexation of M. 11, . artin Property.
Public hearing; on changing Ordinance to OK Zoning for A. D. Boyd and
James Caton on Lot 14A and 1LB, in Abstract u20. Motion by Alderman
and seconded by Alderman Mauk to accept the Zoning. All Ayes .
Alderman Thomas gave a report on conditions of Little League Park.
Jo Waddel with TP&L gave a report on lighting cost and material,
3,200.00 making a total of 84,200.00. Total cost of Park 89,000.00
to $10,00' .00. Motion by Ald. 1;auk and seconded by Ald Thomas to
consider this at a later meeting nd set up folder on Park. All Ayes .
Council passed on junked rotor ve .icles, on rot on by Alderman Addicks
and seconded. by Alderman Mauk. All For. DAO. 0 71-7

Ordinance Motion carried. 0149.
Monthly meeting of City Council in May were approved on motion by
Ald. Addicks an. seconded by Alderman 'Thomas . All Ayes .
Council set date for Tax Equalization Board for City to meet Saturday,
June 26, 1971 from 9: 00 to 3: 00 sod July 10, 1R71 from 9: 00 til 12: 00.
Board to be appointed later by Mayor Hackler.
Motion to pay Monthly expenditur s for May by Alderman Thomas and seconded
by Alderman Mauk. All Ayes .
Motion to adjourn by Alderman Thomas and seconded by Alderman Davis .
