REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
June 22, 1971
City City Council met in regular session in City Hall at 7:30 PM
June 22, 1971.
Present; Mayor Hackler; Aldermen; Thomas, Dodd, Addicks, Davis and
Mauk; City idigr. dathis; City :later SUpt. Allen nd City Secy. Gallagher.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Heckler.
City Firemen met with Council to discuss financing a new Fire Truck.
Sewer line between 4th and Hilltop Streets was discussed. Mr. Christopher
ask Council for a new line to take care of their problem. Council agreed
on motion by Alderman Dodd and seconded by Alderman Thomas to repair
line . All Ayes .
Mr. Holman met with Council in reference to sewer line easement on M. M.
Martin Property. They ask to abandon easement recently passed, not on
record, and adopt new easement in order to better develop property.
Motion by Ald. Davis and seconded by Ald. Thomas to grant the easement
change . All Ayes .
Motion by Alderman Thomas and seconded by Alderman Mauk to pass An-
nexation Ordinance #79 to annex the M. E. Martin property to the City
of Wylie . All Ayes .
Council agreed to change the July 13, 1971 regular Council meeting to
Monday July 12, 1971 on motion by Alde man IIauk and seconded by Alder-
man Thomas . All Ayes .
Final acceptance of utilities in Wylwood Addition was tabled until
regulations of Ordinances were met.
Council discussed City Taxes on Lavon Terrace Property for Agenes Eaves.
Counc1 ask we return Check anti collectpenalty and interest on the
delinquent taxes .
Mayor Hackler appointed A. D. Boyd, R. V. Groves and R. S. Posey to
serve on the Tax Equalization Board for the City to meet June 26, 1971 and
July 10, 1971.
Motion to adjourn at 8:30 by Alderman Dodd and seconded by Alderman
Thomas . Motion. carried. Meeting adjourned.
