REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
July 27, 1971
The City Council met in regular session, Tuesday July 27, 1971 in the
City Hall at 7 :30 PM. Present: Mayor Hackler; Alderman: Dodd, Thomas,
Davis, Addicks and Mauk; City Mgr. Mathis ; Water Supt. Allen, and City
Secy. Gallagher.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hackler.
Approval of Subdivision outside City Limits East of Hwy. 544 was discussed.
Motion by Ald. Addicks and seconded by Aid. Mauk to disapprove this
Subdivision, subject to widening of Street right-of-way to 50' and
installing 15' alleys. Council ask to have an Ordinance drafted con-
cerning exterritorial jurisdiction. All Ayes.
Sweeping cost for individuals. Council ask they try sweeping once, then
make a charge.
Plumbing Code Ordinance # 71- iO was discussed and approved on motion by
Ald. Thomas and seconded by-AIT, Mauk. All Ayes.
Subdivision Ordinance # 7l 11 was approved on motion by Ald. Thomas and
seconded by Ald. Davis. Ordinance prescribing rules and regulations
Governing Plats and plans in the City Limits of Wylie, Texas. All Ayes.
Council gave Mayor Hackler authority to purchase 1.05 acres of land from
Henry Martinez for Sewer Plant.
Pool hall Ordinance was discussed and tabled until a later date.
Final approval of Phase I Sewer Improvements was made on motion by Aid.
Mauk and seconded by Ald. Dodd and also to pay Engineers and Contractors.
Unanimous Ayes.-4
Motion by Ald. Thomas and seconded by Ald. Mauk to pass on Resolution
# 71-102. BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Wylie, Texas, express its
desire that the North Texas Municipal Water District make available to
the Cities which it serves, facilities for the handling, treating and
disposal of Municipal sewage and other waste, and that said Bistrict
take such immediate action as may be necessary to secure the approval
of all Municipal, County, State and Federal Agencies as may be required
to provide such services. Unanimous Ayes.
Motion by Alderman Mauk and seconded by Alderman Thomas to turn all
delinquent Sales Taxes over to City Atty. Baker for collection.
Motion carried.
James Carroll and David Ellenburg met with Council in reference to
Water Line on South 2nd Street. Motion by Alderman Dodd and seconded
-.- by Alderman Addicks to give them a larger line after Council could
secure cost and labor. All Ayes.

Atty. Bergman's request to be on Agenda in reference to Wrecker Service
in the City of Wylie, no action was taken as there was no one present
to represent them.
Motion to adjourn by Alderman Dodd and seconded by Alderman Addicks.
Motion carried. Meeting adjourned.
