SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
August 17, 1971
The City Council met in special session in City Hall at 7 :30 P. M.
Agenda; Fire department new truck and personell for Police Dept.
Present Mayor Hackler, Alderman; Mauk, Addicks, Dodd, and Davis
with Alderman Thomas absent. City Manager Mathis present.
Bill Story and Danny Clark met with council to present cost on
new fire truck:
Howe Fire Applicance Company bid $23 ,500.00, lease purchase 7. 5%
with a 140 to 160 day delivery.
Richard Toby bid $21,995.00 lease purchase 7% with 150 day delivery.
Boardman Company, W. A. Neel and Lefty Lumpkin bid $22, 595.00 on
a 3 year loan and 6% interest with 230 day delivery.
Motion by Alderman Addicks and seconded by Alderman Dodd to grant
$650.00 to Police Department for extra help. All Ayes.
