Regular City Council Meeting
October 12, 1971
The City Council met in regular session in City Hall at 7: 30 PM,
October 12, 1971.
Present; Mayor Hackler; Aldermen; Mauk, Addicks, Davis, and Thomas.
City Manager Mathis; Water Supt. Allen and City Secretary Oneida
Gallagher; Chief of Police Blanks. With City Atty. Baker and Alder
man Dodd absent.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hackler.
Motion by Alderman Thomas and seconded by Alderman Davis not to
allow construction of houses on South 2nd. street, requested by
Winston Watkins, on a dirt street. Unanimous Ayes.
Council voted yes to call for bids on a new pick-up for the water
and sewer department.
Refuse from Electro Extraction was tabled until Council could talk
and check further as to the cost to City.
Council on motion by Alderman Addicks and seconded by Alderman
Thomas to promote Joe Schidfer to Sewer Supt. with a salary raise
of $44.55 per month. Unanimous Ayes.
Motion by Alderman Addicks and seconded by Alderman Thomas to
approve minutes of September meetings. All Ayes.
Motion by Alderman Thomas and seconded by AldermanAdd_cks to
approve expenditures for September. All Ayes.
Motion to adjourn by Alderman Mauk and seconded by Alderman
Addicks. Meeting adjourned.
