Regular City Council Meeting
November 9, 1971
The City Council met in regular session in the City Hall at 7:30
PM on November 9, 1971.
Present: Mayor Hackler; Aldermen Addicks, Dodd, Thomas, Mauk and
Davis. City Mgr. Mathis, City Atty. Baker, Water Supt. Allen,
Chief of Police Blanks, and City Secretary Gallagher.
Minutes of the Council meetings held in Oct. were approved on
motion by Ald. Mauk and seconded by Ald. Thomas. All Ayes.
Plat for Colonial Acres was tabled since they presented no new
Plat for Council.
Little League, represented by Ray Rogers, was discussed and
Council ask this to be brought up again Jan. 11, 1972, and
find out what the City can do.
Council voted on motion by Ald. Thomas and seconded by Ald. Dodd
to accept Zoning changes for Mark Townsend to allow a car port to
be built on Lot 35, Blk. 6, Brown and Burns addition and also, to
change from Multiple family Residental to C-1 District to allow a
Beauty Shop for Bob Remer Lot 3, Blk. 17, Railroad Addition. All
Ayes.
Council voted to table the dedication of street to the public by
Raymond Cooper.
Discussion of the incorporation of the City of Saint Paul was held
by Council.
Council called a special meeting with the City of Sachse on Tuesday,
November 16, 1971, at 8:00 P M in City Hall. To further discuss
annexation.
Motion by Ald. Dodd and seconded by Ald. Mauk to pay monthly
expenditures for Oct. All Ayes.
Lee Birkett met with Council in reference to N. Ballard St. He
ask to be put on Agenda on Nov. 23, 1971.
The approval of plans for sewer lines Phase II to be discussed
later.
Council deeided to have the annual Christmas Dinner, Saturday,
Dec. 4, 1971, at Kirby"s in Dallas.
Motion by Ald. Mauk and seconded by Ald. Thomas to adjourn.
