Regular City Council Meeting
November 23, 1971
The City Council met in Regular Session in City Hall at 7:30 PM
on Novembser 23, 1971.
Present: Mayor Hackler; Aldermen Addicks, Thomas, Dodd, Mauk,
and Davis; City Mgr. Mathis; Water Superintendent Allen, Chief
of Police Blanks; and City Secretary Gallagher.
Motion by Ald. Dodd and seconded by Ald. Thomas to appoint O. W.
Hampton to fill the unexpired term of Ed Collins on Zoining Board.
Motion by Ald. Dodd and seconded by Ald. Thomas to grant money
to fix old Fire Truck. All Ayes.
Municipal Court Judge was discussed and tabled until next meeting.
Motion by .Aid. Thomas and seconded by alderman Dodd to pass
Resolution # 71-104 requesting the designation of the North Texas
Municipal Water District as the Regional Waste Water Treatment
Agency for the East Fork of the Trinity River. Unanimous Ayes.
Motion by Ald. Thomas and seconded by Alderman Davis to notify
James Caton that the City was going ahead with their annexation of
Vinson Rd. , Troy Rd. , Pleasant Valley Rd. , and Whitley Rd. as
discussed. Unanimous Ayes.
Motion by Alderman . Mauk and seconded by Alderman Addicks to approve
raises for personnel as of November 15, 1971, per budget approval.
All Ayes.
Council on motion by Ald. Thomas and seconded by Ald. Addicks to
give personnel a weeks pay Christmas Bonus. All Ayes.
Motion by Ald. Thomas and seconded by Ald. Mauk to accept bids for
new truck for Water and Sewer Dept. All Ayes.
Meeting to adjourn by Ald. Mauk and seconded by Ald. Thomas.
Motion carried. Meeting adjourned.
