REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
FEBRUARY 8, 1972
The City Council met in regular session in City Hall at 7:30 PM.
Present: Mayor Hackler; Aldermen; Mauk, Thomas, Davis, and Addicks.
Aldermen Dodd absent.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hackler.
RE: April 1, 1972, City Officer' s Election. Motion by Ald. Thomas
and seconded by Ald. Davis for Mayor Hackler to call an election to
elect (1) Mayor and (2) two aldermen for a two (2) year term.
Saturday, April 1, 1972. All ayes. Mayor Hackler appointed A. D.
Boyd Election Judge for City Election and ask he select the
alternate Judge and clerks.
Motion by Ald. Thomas and seconded by Ald. Davis to approve minutes
of the January council meetings. Motion carried.
Motion by Ald. Addicks and seconded by Ald. Mauk to approve
expenditures for January.
Aid. Addicks made a motion to place an order with Myers Courtesy
Ford for a new Police Car. Seconded by Ald. Thomas. All ayes.
Council interviewed applicant for City Manager and employed Dennis
Woodard to begin work on April 1, 1972.
