03-28-1972 (City Council) Minutes /� p9-rp rsl 5N REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MARCH 28, 1972 The City Council met in regular session March 28, 1972, in the City Hall at 7:30 PM. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hackler. Present: Mayor Hackler: Aldermen: Addicks, Dodd, Thomas, and Davis with Aid. Mauk absent. Water Supt. Allen, Chief of Police Blanks and City Secy. Gallagher present. Mr. Williams from Rockwall met with Council in reference to building a concrete plant off of Hwy. 78. Council told Mr. Williams to write a letter to City Hall that he would control the dust from the plant and also control spillage of wet cement from trucks on streets and highways. On motion by Ald. Davis and seconded by Ald. Addicks to approve the plant after Council has observed his plant in Rockwall. Mr. Williams is to provide acceptable entrance to plant form Hwy. 78. Unanimous Ayes. Council discussed White' s Body Shop in reference to operation of a wrecker and usage of City Radio in City of Wylie; and decided that no futher action would be necessary at this time. Council asked Mayor Hackler to check the odors at Stovall Tallow Co. and report back to Council. Temporary metal buildings were discussed and tabled. Mayor Hackler appointed E. J. Hendrix as Fire Marshall for the City of Wylie on Motion by Ald. Davis and seconded by Ald. Dodd. All Ayes. Property of Raymond Cooper was tabled until next regular council meet- ing in April. Motion by Ald. Dodd and seconded by Ald. Addicks to name the Street to City Sanitary Landfill from Hwy. 78 Southeast as Martinez Lane. All Ayes. Motion by Ald. Addicks and seconded by Ald. Dodd to allow new City Manager $50.00 per month car allowance. All Ayes. Mayor Hackler read a letter from HD&R in reference to cost of a survay for increasing water supply including additional pumps. Extending city limits was discussed, which would constitute strip annexation on certain roads and Hwys. Council authorized Mayor Hackler to check with John Waddell with TP&L of Plano for help on legal dis== cription. Council asked Mayor Hackler to check with Mr. Riehn with NTMWD in reference to City Sewage. Motion to adjourn by Ald. Addicks and seconded by Ald. Davis. Motion Carried. C. W.
