REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
AUGUST 22, 1972
The City Council met in regular session in City Hall at 7:30 PM, August ^�
22, 1972. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hackler. Present:
Mayor Hackler, Aldermen: Dodd, Davis, Thomas, and Christopher. City
Mgr. Woodard, Water Supt. Allen, Chief of Police, Blanks and City Secy.
Oneida Gallagher. With Alderman Addicks absent.
Motion by Alderman Davis and seconded by Alderman Christopher to approve
Ordinances 72-11 and 72-12, extending City limits. Unanimous Ayes.
Mr. Pinkus met with Council on water main extension West on Hwy. 544.
Motion by Alderman Dodd and seconded by Alderman Thomas to authorize
the City to extend a 12" water line in the amount of $120, 000.00 West
of City on to F.M. Road 1378. City will pay the difference in a 6" to
8" water line to the development site on 1378. Unanimous Ayes.
Ordinance 72-13, an ordinance abandoning easement on Cooper land was
approved on motion by Alderman Davis and seconded by Alderman Christopher.
All Ayes.
The Preliminary Budget for the Fiscal Year 1972-1973 was reviewed and
discussed by Council. Final approval of Budget is set for the next regular
council meeting, September 12, 1972.
Motion to adjourn by Alderman Thomas and seconded by Alderman Christopher.
Motion carried. Meeting adjourned. _...
