REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
OCTOBER 10, 1972
The City Council met in regular session in City Hall at 7:30 PM, October
-, 10, 1972.
Present: Mayor Hackler, Aldermen: Dodd, Davis, Addicks, Thomas, and
Christopher. City Manager Woodard, Water Supt. Allen, Chief of Police
Blanks and City Secy. Gallagher.
First on Agenda. Public Hearing on annexation of Nortex land. No objections
Public Hearing on mutual boundary with Wylie and St. Paul was discussed.
Present Collins Carr Tindall Rhodes and Mr. & Mrs. Alexander. Motion by
Alderman Dodd and seconded by Ald. Thomas this be tabled until a later
meeting. All Ayes.
Bids on water pumps tabled until next council meeting.
Water lines for Nortex Nursery was discussed. Motion by Ald. Davis and
seconded by Aid. Christopher to lay cast iron pipe in right-of-way and
give Nortex permission to install PVC pipe on their private property.
All Ayes.
Motion by Ald. Dodd and seconded by Aid. Christopher to approve civil
Defense Ordinance and Emergency Operation Plan. Motion carried. 72-16
Motion by Ald. Dodd and seconded by Aid. Christopher to approve Resolution
extending finance of city fire truck. All Ayes.
Minutes of monthly meeting in September and also monthly bills were
• approved on motion by Ald. Dodd and seconded by Ald. Christopher. Unanimous
Ayes.
Motion by Ald. Christopher and seconded by Ald. Thomas to approve Resolution
to adopt policy concerning municipal salaries. All Ayes.
Motion by Ald. Thomas and seconded by Ald. Christopher to adjourn at 9:00PM.
