REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING November 28, 1972
The City Council met in regular session in City Hall November 28, 1972, at
-.. 7:30 PM. Present: Mayor Hackler, Ald. Addicks, Dodd, Thomas, Christopher,
and Davis. City Manager Woodard, and City Secretary Oneida Gallagher.
Mr. Smith from Parker met with Council in reference to fire protection for
their city. Discussed. Council asked City Manager to draw up Resolution
and submit it at /the next regular council meeting of Dec. 12, 1972.
Ordinance No. 721 authorizing a contract with NTMWD for issuance of
$170, 000. Sewer Improvement Bonds on motion by Ald. Addicks and seconded by
Ald. Thomas. All voted "Aye" .
City Manager Woodard read a letter from Mr. Gumm for the City of St. Paul
on boundary lines of Wylie and St. Paul. Motion by Ald. Thomas and seconded
by Ald. Dodd to leave boundary lines as they are until the date one town
reaches 5000 population. Unanimous Ayes.
Public Hearing on annexation County Road off of 544 was discussed.
Ordinance 72-20 regulating fireworks within City limits of Wylie was
passed on mot of n by Ald. Thomas and seconded by Ald. Addicks. All Ayes.
City Audit for 1971-72 was accepted by Council. Motion by Ald. Thomas and
seconded by Ald. Davis to award contract for water pumps to Onyx Const.
Co. of Ft. Worth, Texas, in the amount of $29, 755.00 All Ayes.
Motion by Ald. Dodd and seconded by Ald. Thomas to approve bills and
minutes for October. All Ayes.
Council decided to have their annual Christmas Dinner Monday, Dec. 18, 1972
at Southern Kitchen on Abrams Rd.
Council on motion by Ald. Thomas and seconded by Ald. Christopher to give
city employees one week pay Christmas bonus. All Ayes.
