FEBRUARY 26, 1973
The City Council met in special session in City Hall at 7:30 PM,
February 26, 1973.
Present: Mayor Hackler, Aldermen Addicks, Thomas, Christopher, and
Davis. City Manager Woodard, and City Secy. Oneida Gallagher. Aid.
Dodd absent.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hackler.
Fire Chief Bill Story, A. B. Simmons and Mike Rawlings met with Council
to discuss Fire Contracts with surrounding cities. Motion to present
to all cities, not having fire fighting facilities, a contract for
$300.00 per fire and each city to maintain a $300.00 credit balance at
all times with Wylie. Motion by Ald. Thomas and seconded by Ald. Davis.
All ayes.
Tax re-valuation was discussed and on motion by Ald. Thomas and seconded
by Ald. Addicks, Council asked to re-valuate all taxes in the City of
Wylie, real and personal. All Ayes.
Report on the progress report on General Telephone rate request. Motion
by Ald. Thomas and seconded by Ald. Addicks to pay Touche Ross & Co.
$717.00 to study information concerning General Telephone Company rate
increase. All Ayes.
