SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
APRIL 7, 1973
The City Council met in special session, April 7, 1973, in City Hall at
7:30 PM. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hackler. Present:
Mayor Hackler, Aldermen Dodd, Addicks, Davis, Christopher and Thomas;
City Manager Woodard and City Secretary Oneida Gallagher.
The Election Canvass was held. Motion made by Alderman Addicks and
seconded by Alderman Dodd to accept the results of the election. There
come on to be considered the returns of the election held on April 7, 1973,
for the purpose of electing the hereinto named officials and its appearing
from said returns duly and legally made that there were cast at said
election 241 valid and legal votes. Each of the candidates in said
election received the following votes:
Aldermen: John T. Addicks 65
Dwayne Boyd 122
Guinn B. Helmick 66
Donald R. Thomas 108
Edward Butler 113
Bill Chapman 70
Charles P. Elledge 98
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS:
That election was duly called--that notice of said election was given
in accordance with the law, and that Dwayne Boyd, Edward Butler, and
Donald Thomas were duly elected Councilmen for the City of Wylie, Texas.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS THE 7th day of April, 1973.
