REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
JUNE 12, 1973
The City Council met in regular session June 12, 1973, in City Hall at 7:00PM.
Present: Mayor Hackler, Aldermen Thomas, Dodd, Christopher, Boyd, & Butler. —■,
City Manager Woodard, Water Supt. Allen, Police Chief Blanks, City Secy.
Oneida Gallagher, Firemen A. B. Simmons and Danny Clark.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hackler. Motion by Aid. Dodd and
seconded by Ald. Thomas to approve the transfer of $10,000.00 from Utility
Fund to General Fund. All Ayes.
Minutes and bills for the month of May were approved on motion•by Aid. Thomas
and seconded by Aid. Butler. All Ayes.
City Manager Woodard read a letter and proposal from Jay Goltz in reference
to Hillside View Mobile Homes. He had no representative present. Council
ask that City after receiving recommendations from our engineers to invite
them to next regular council meeting.
Six names were given to City Manager to contact to serve on Equalization
Board. Council gave Mayor Hackler authority to.:make other appointments
if necessary.
A. B. Simmons gave a report from the Fire Dept. He stated they had bought
a 1969 Station Wagon. Motion by Aid. Thomas and seconded by Aid. Dodd to
pay $319.50 on new hose for the Fire Dept. All Ayes. Firemen ask Council
to ask for bids and sell the old 1961 Station Wagon.
A General report on City activities was given by City Mgr. Woodard.
Motion by Ald. Dodd and seconded by Ald. Thomas to adjourn. All Ayes.
Meeting adjourned at 8:45 PM.
