REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
MARCH 12, 1974
-- The City Council met in regular session at 7:00 PM on March 12, 1974, in
City Hall with the following present: Mayor Hackler, Aldermen; Thomas,
Boyd, Butler, Dodd. and Christopher. City Manager Woodard, Chief of Police
Blanks, Fire Chief Story, City Secy. Gallagher.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hackler. W. C. Allen met with
Council in reference to ambulance service cost. Motion by Ald. Dodd
and seconded by Ald. Butler to pay $350.00, $50.00 per month to be taken
out of the recreation fund to began when County Contribution starts. All
Ayes.
Billiard Room regulations were discussed. Mr. Green gave a brief account
of the activities at the Pool Room. Council approved plan as submitted
to City Council.
Cluster Mailbox System was disapproved on motion by Aid. Christopher and.
seconded by Ald. Boyd. Unanimous Ayes.
Bids for new Police Car were reviewed. Lakeside Chev. , Rockwall - $3, 776.61;
Andrews Ford, Rockwall - $3, 789.75; Fisher Ford, McKinney - $3,887.02.
Motion by Ald. Thomas and seconded by Ald. Butler to table decision until
bids are checked out. All Ayes.
Petition for revision of Duncan Way Street for Church of Christ and new
high school to change street thru church property. Verbal agreement by
7— Council to go along with change, Mr. Carl Foster to be included in with
i
school plans.
Motion by Ald. Thomas and seconded by Ald. Christopher to put E. Masters
Street on top priority when funds are available. All Ayes.
Motion by Ald. Christopher and seconded by Ald. Thomas to approve minutes
and pay expenditures for February. All Ayes.
