04-08-1974 (City Council) Minutes SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING

The City Council met in special session, April 8, 1974 in City Hall
at 7:00 PM. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hackler. Present
were Mayor Hackler, Aldermen Dodd, Thomas, Butler and. Boyd, City
Manager Dennis Woodard and City Secretary Oneida Gallagher. Alderman
Christopher was absent.
The Election Canvass was held. Motion by Ald. Boyd and seconded by
Ald. Butler to accept the results of the election. There come on
to be the results of the election held on April 6, 1974 for the
purpose of electing the hereinto named officials and its appearing
from said returns duly and legally made that there were cast at
said election 211 valid and legal votes. Each of the candidates in
said election received the following votes;
Mayor: Donald. R. Thomas 166
Aldermen: Kenneth Nall 131
Bill Chapman 65
Glenn Morrow 40
R. C. Dodd 159
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WYLIE, TEXAS:
That election was duly called--that notice of said election was given
. in accordance with the law, and that Donald R. Thomas was duly elected
Mayor of the City of Wylie, Texas. That Kenneth Nall and R. C. Dodd
were duly elected Aldermen for the City of Wylie, Texas
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED This the 8th day of April, 1974.-
