REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING.
APRIL 8, 1975

The City Council met in regular session on April 8, 1975, at 7: 00 PM.
Present Mayor Thomas, Aldermen Nall, Dodd, Martin, Boyd & Butler, newly
elected Stan Shively. City Manager Woodard, Chief of Police Blanks
and City Secretary Oneida Gallagher.
Mayor Thomas gave the oath of office to the newly elected councilmen,
Martin, Boyd and Shively.
The minutes of council meeting of March 11, 1975 and expenditures for the
month were approved on motion by Ald. Nall and seconded by Ald. Martin. All
Ayes.
Subdivision Preliminary Plat was presented to council by Billy Ashworth
and Mel Delaney. The Plat was discussed by council and ask they return with
their Plat on water and sewer for the subdivision.
Kenneth Hughes from Full Gospel Church met with Council in reference to
a metal building for the the Church. Council ask Mr. Hughes to bring a
drawing of his building and meet with Council on next Council meeting of
April 22, 1975.
Joe George met with Council requesting the construction of a metal building
to add approximately 1600 sq. ft. to his supermarket. Permission was
granted on motion by Ald. Boyd and seconded by Ald. Dodd. All Ayes.
Bob Roberts, Jack Brown and L. R. Newman met with Council to further
discuss General Telephone rate increase. After a lengthy discussion,
Council called a work session for General Telephone only on Tuesday,
April 15, 1975 at 7:00 PM.
There was only one bid on city police car, from Andrews Ford in Rockwall.)
in the amount of $4, 617.00. After Discussion Council ask to table this
and ask for other bids and smaller cars.
Mutual Boundary Line Ordinance # 75-3 with St. Paul was approved on
motion by Ald. Nall and seconded by Ald. Martin. Unanimous Ayes.
Motion by Ald. Shively and seconded by Ald. Boyd to adopt new Plumbing
Code Ordinance # 75-4 repealing Ordinance # 71-10, the Plumbing Code of
the City of Wylie. All Ayes.
Mayor Thomas read a letter of resignation from Oneida Gallagher, City
Secretary, who is retiring as of April 11, 1975.
Collin Co. Board of Realtors Inc. ask the City to proclaim April 20 thru
April 26 as "Realtors Week" for the City of Wylie. On motion by Ald. Dodd
and seconded by Ald. Martin. All Ayes.
No further business motion was made by Ald. Martin and seconded by Aid.
