11-11-1975 (City Council) Minutes `f REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING NOVEMBER 11, 1975 The Wylie City Council met in regular session November 11, 1975 at 7:00 P M. at City Hall. Present were Mayor Pro-tem R. C. Dodd, Aldermen Kenneth Nall, Dwayne Boyd, and William Martin; City Manager Dennis Woodard, City Secretary Doris Wilson and Fire Chief Danny Clark. Absent were Mayor Don Thomas and. Alderman Stan Shively. The meeting was called to order by Mrayor Pro-tem Dodd. First on the agenda was the approval of October minutes and expenditures to be paid in November. Motion was made by Alderman William Martin and seconded by Alderman Kenneth Nall to approve minutes and expenditures. All Ayes. Fire Chief Danny Clark and the other officers of the Fire Department were present to request an additional building to be added to the present Fire Station. The council asked them to gather plans and actual figures and present these at the next regular council. Next item on the agenda was a discussion of mutual agreement for the water service with Wylie Northeast Water Corporation. Motion by Alderman Kenneth Nall and seconded by Alderman Dwayne Boyd to use the mutual boundary line of St. Paul as the water service line was made. All Ayes. Street paving was next item for discussion. It was reported that West Kirby Street has been completed with a total cost of $3,480.40. This street was paved with property owners sharing the cost. A petition form the land owners of Martinez Lane was read asking for their street to be paved. The cost of the street would be $6,435.00. The council agreed. to place this street on the waiting list of streets to be paved. Repairs on Elliott and Hilltop Street will be the next to be done. Review of Health and Fire Codes was tabled.. Resolutions to pay $2000.00 plus interest on the Street Paving Note and $5000.00 plus interest on the Fire Truck Note were passed on motion by Aid. Dwayne Boyd and Alderman William Martin seconded. All Ayes. Departmental reports were given by City Manager Dennis Woodard. Motion was made by Alderman Dwayne Boyd and seconded by Alderman Kenneth Nall to purchase 1975 LeMans Pontiac for the Police Department for a total amount of $4,186.92. All Ayes. Motion by Alderman William Martin and seconded by Alderman Dwayne Boyd to aid the Fire Department for the amount of $200.00 to apply to the damage done to a Fire Department vehicle. A police report and animal control report was presented. Motion by Alderman Kenneth Nall and seconded by Alderman William Martin was made to adjourn at 8: 20 PM. All Ayes.
