03-09-1976 (City Council) Minutes ,i e) Regular City Council Meeting March 9, 1976 7- The City Council met in regular session on March 9, 1976, at 7:00 PM at City Hall. Attending were Mayor Don Thomas, Aldermen R. C. Dodd, William Martin, Kenneth Nall, Dwayne Boyd and Stan Shively; City Manager Dennis Woodard, City Secretary Doris Wilson and Fire Chief Danny Clark. Meeting was declared open by Mayor Thomas. First item on the agenda was the approval of February minutes and expenditures for March. Motion for approval was made by Alderman Stan Shively and seconded by Alderman William Martin. Vote of all ayes. Alderman Stan Shively made a motion to table until next meeting General Telephone Company' s request for rate increase. Second was made by Alderman Dwayne Boyd. Unanimous approval. City Manager Dennis Woodard gave the following reports: A. The City had offered a bid to Collin County for a maintainer. Collin County refused all bids and decided to keep the maintainer. B. Commissioners ' Gourt postponed decision on outcome of Justice of the Peace, Precinct Seven for two weeks. Resolution by the City to keep the Precinct has been presented to the Commissioners. Commissioners! Court is studying the combination of Precinct Seven with another Precinct. C. City has filed second set of maps to comply with Texas Public Utility Commission. D. On Fire Station improvements, officers of the Fire Department were present for a discussion. Additional information was asked for. Mel Delaney was present to discuss the proposed Estate Zoning Ordinance. Motion by Alderman Stan Shively and second by Alderman Dwayne Boyd to table ordinance until next meeting. Vote of all ayes.
