March 17, 1977 at 5 :00 PM
The City Council of Wylie met in Special Session at Wylie City Hall in
-- Council Chambers on March 17, 1977, at 5:00 PM. Present were: Mayor
William Martin, Aldermen Don Thomas, Dwayne Boyd, Pat Minihan and
Kenneth Nall; City Manager Denton Miller and City Secretary Doris Wilson.
Alderman Stan Shively was absent. The meeting was called to order by
Mayor William Martin.
Bids received on Bid No. 1977-1 were presented as follows:
1. Texas Meter & Sewer $23,922. 74
2. East Texas Service Corp. 22, 740.38
3. Universal Supply Co. 22,481.89
4. Trans Tex Supply Co. 22,872. 28 -1,918.44=20, 953.84
5. Rohan Company 22, 200.53
6. Bowles & Eden 22, 200.53
7. Johns-Manville 22,537.16
Motion was made by Alderman Thomas to award bid to Trans Tex Supply Co.
in the amount of $20,953.84. Second was made by Alderman Boyd. Passed
by unanimous ayes.
Bids received on Bid No. 1977-2 were presented as follows:
1. Texas Meter & Sewer $ 9,801. 76
2. Aqual Utility Co. 10,412.65
3. Rohan Company 9, 617.91
4. Bowles & Edens 9, 282.03
5. Trans Tex Supply Co. 9,041.16 -943.52= 8, 097.64
6. Universal Supply Co. 8, 865. 78

Motion was made by Alderman Thomas to award bid to Trans Tex Supply in
the amount of $8, 097.64. Second was made by Alderman Nall. Vote of
all ayes.
Motion was made by Alderman Boyd to purchase Item 17C, 43 meter boxes
for $460.08 from the Rohan Company. Second was made by Alderman Thomas.
Motion carried unanimously.
The cost on these bids will be shared with Richard Nance and K. C. Swayze
and the City.
Motion was made by Alderman Nall to adjourn. Second was made by Alderman
Minihan. All Ayes.
