Special City Council Meeting
April 26, 1977
The City Council of Wylie met in special session in Council Chambers
at City Hall on April 26, at 7:00 PL Those present were Mayor William
Martin; Kenneth Nall; Pat Minihan; John Akin, Richard Parker, and Curtis
Ratcliff, City Attorney Ted Kent, City Manger Denton Miller. The meeting
was called to order by Mayor Martin.
Frist item on the agenda was an Ordiance establishing Flood Hazard Prevention
Regulations within the corporate limits of Wylie; Texas, or within its extra-
territorial jurisdiction. ThisOrdinance had been reviewed and recommended
by approval by the Planning and Zoning Commission at their meeting of April
14, 1977. Motion was made by Alderman Pat Minihan to approve this Ordinance
No. 77-8 as presented. Seconded by Alderman John Akin. Vote of all ayes.
The City Council discussed the use of Tax Appraisal Service of Garland.
After discussion of this company or re-appraisal by our own`.'Tax Assessor-
Collector, the following motion was made. Alderman John Akin made a motion
to use the appraisals conducted by Mr Miller, the Tax Assessor-Collector
and he can use the help of assisants.Alderman Curtis Ratcliff seconded the
motion. Vote of all ayes.
A continued discussion of the street improvements on Biringham was conducted.
Motion was made by Alderman Pat Minihan that Alderman Nall, City Manger
Miller and Public Works Director Allen meet and discuss the improvements
futher and report back to the Council at the next meeting. Secondedlby
Alderman John Akin. Vote of all ayes.
Meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM.
