Special City Council Meeting
August 17, 1977
6:00 P.M.
Meeting called to order by Mayor William Martin at 6:00 PM. Mayor
William Martin, City Manager Denton Miller, City Attorney Ted Kent,
City Secretary Barbara Ellis , and all Alderman were present. Bob
Hogan and Wife and Samuel Wyse 111, Planning Consultant were present.
Invocation was given by William Martin.
Mayor Martin thanks Planning and Zoning Board members and others
for coming. Denton Miller introduced Bob Hogan and his wife with
H. D. R. and Samuel Wyse 111 a Planning Consultant.
Bob Hogan explains overall of master plan for the City of Wylie.
Bob Hogan went over some items discussed at the last City Council
Meeting. The (701- program) was topic for master plan financing.
Bob Hogan introduced Samuel L. Wyse to the council members and
Planning & Zoning board members.Mr. Wyse explained reasoning for the
master plan project. Different topics were gone over by Mr. Wyse
explaining what might be written into City Project, what steps this
plan does take and what steps it takes to receive the funding.
Application requirements . ( City that really works to get program
701 funding assist city on many different problems. Application fil-
ling it out. Discussion on when application should be written . Mr.
Wyse explained waiting list and invitation of application to put in
for 701 fundingprogram for next year. Explaination of funds possibil-
ities. The question whether to go ahead with master plan or wait for
701 program, City Engineers recommended to go ahead as soon as possible.
After total discussion of master plan Mayor Martin adjourned at 7:00 P.M.
