SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
NOVEMBER 22, 1977
5:00 P.M.
Meeting was called to order at 5:00 P.M. by Mayor Martin. All Aldermen were pre-
sent, and Mayor Martin, Denton Miller, City Manager, Barbara Ellis, City Secretary,
Ted Kent, City Attorney, Bob Derrington and Carl Reim from NTMWD, Truitt Smith,
Frank Razor & Bob Scalf.
The City Manager presented the council with the bid results on the two police cars.
Motion by Alderman Akin seconded by Alderman Parker to accept the low bid submitted
by Carriage Chrysler, Inc. for 2 - 1978 Plymouth Fury Sedans at $5,353.94 each
for a total of $10,707.88. Motion passed with all in favor.
The discussion of the Sewer Plant modification was conducted. The City Manager
was to draft a letter to H. D. R. authorizing them to prepare a contract for the
engineering study to be coordinated with N.T.M.W.D. and the city on the proposed
modifications to be presented to the Council for approval at the Dec. 13th. Council
meeting.
The discussion of the Overhead Water Storage Improvements between the Engineers,
Council , representatives of N.T.M.W.D. and Mr. Smith was conducted to bring every-
one up to date and to discuss the funding posibilities. Mr. Miller was instructed
to authorize H. D. & R. to present the cost estimates and plans to N.T.M.W.D. Board
for possible funding.
