04-18-1978 (City Council) Minutes Special City Council Meeting
April 18 , 1978
7 : 00 P .M.
Meeting was called to order at 7 : 00 P . M . by Mayor Akin . Invocation
was given by City Manager Denton Miller.
Public Hearing on Zoning Request of Holland Trailer Hitch to
rezone 6 . 25 acres from I -1 Light Industrial to I-2 , Heavy Industrial .
Motion was made by Alderman Parker to pass and approve this request .
Seconded by Alderman Ratcliff. Motion carried all in favor .
Review of Preleminary Plat of Westwind Meadows Subdivision- Melvin
Delaney , Melvin St John . The preliminary plat was approved for
final plat. Motion was made by Alderman Swayze to pass and approve
this plat. Seconded by Alderman Parker, Motion carried all in favor.
Proposed Ordinance Regulating the Construction & Maintenance of
Fences within the City Limits . Motion was made by Alderwoman Kent ,
and seconded by Alderman Minihan to pass & approve the proposed
Ordinance 1977-78 08-15j . Motion carried all in favor .
H . D . & R. Comprehensive Plan Update review & discussion . Roger Powell
came before. the Council to explain & discuss the update on the
Comprehsive Plan for the City of Wylie . Population 5224 .4 rural ,
rest city limits . Mayor Akin thanked Mr. Powell for coming and giving
his report.
H . D . & R. - Preapplication for H . D . & R. Block Grant & project cost
estimates & priorty recommendations . Frank Racer came before the Council
and explained to the Council the recommendations that the City Engineers
recommends . (A- I ) and Portion of K. after a discussion the motion was
made by Alderman Minihan to proceed with the Preapplication with the
cost not to exceed $1 ,500 . 00 . Seconded by Alderman Ratcliff. Motion
carried all in favor.
Mayor Akin thanked H . D . & R. for their presentation to the Council .
Meeting adjour ed into executive session at 9 : 45 P .M.
