The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pro-Tem Minihan in accordance
with Article 1252-17 , Section 2 (g) of the Texas Revised Civil Statue.
All Alderpersons were present. Mayor Akin was absent due to vacation.
City Manager, Miller was also present.
'le starting salary for the Chief-of-Police was discussed and set at
125 . 00/month for three months , at which time an evaluation would be
nducted, with the passing of the evaluation the salary would be
ised to $1200. 00/month for the balance of the fiscal year.
ae Council interviewed each of the applicants , Sgt. Authur Mason, Gerald
M. Heifner, and Roy Randolph separately. After the interviews were
completed and discussed, Mr. Miller recommended based on the education,
experience, references , and final interview, Mr. Roy Randolph be appoint-
ed. The council took a vote and appointed Mr. Randolph as Chief-of-Police.
Mr. Miller was instructed to contact Mr. Randolph and notify him of his
c ifirmation.
