SPECIAL MEETING
CITY COUNCIL
MAY 1 , 1979
7 : 00 P.M.
Those attending were Mayor John Akin, Mayor Pro-Tem Roy Hall ,
Councilwoman Shirley Kent, Councilmen Don Hughes , Rowland
Kreymer, City Attorney Ted Kent , City Manager Denton Miller ,
City Secretary Sarah Connelly, Frank Rasor and Bob Hogan,
engineers ; Mr . & Mrs . Starnes . Councilman Pat Minihan was
absent.
Invocation was given by Mayor Akin.
Mayor Akin reinterated on the need and why of the water increase .
Mr. Frank Rasor presented proposed rate #5 study. Mr. Rasor
reported that rate # 5 would not be sufficient . But presented
some suggestions to the Council that would generate the necessary
revenue . Engineers suggested that Council consider Rate "D"
on water and Rate "5" on sewer.
Mayor Akin called a Special Meeting for May 15 , at 6 : 30 for
Public Hearing on proposed water rates . Requested that the
Financial Advisors and representatives of N T M W D be
present at that meeting .
Meeting adjourned at 8 : 05 P.M.
