REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
August 14, 1979
7 : 00 p.m.
City Officials present were Mayor John Akin, Mayor Pro-Tem Roy Hall ,
Councilmen Don Hughes, Rowland Kreymer, Pat Minihan and William
Martin, City Manager Dan Dodson, City Attorney Ted Kent, City
Secretary Sarah Connelly, Chief-of-Police Roy Randolph, Fire Chief
Danny Clark, Public Works Director W. A. Allen, Sewer Supt. Dale
Wolverton. Citizens present were Ab Harrison, Billy Mills ,
Mrs . Roy Randolph, Mr. $ Mrs . Don Kreymer, Glenn Morrow, Don
Morris, Lone Star Gas representative; Dennis Masters $ Frank Rasor,
Hogan $ Rasor representatives ; Randy Strahan, Arapaho East
representative.
Invocation was given by Councilman William Martin.
City Attorney Ted Kent administered Oath of Office to City Manager
Dan Dodson.
Mayor Pro-Tem Hall made motion to approve minutes and monthly bills
with the exception of Boles & Eden, which Mayor Akin was enpowered
to pay at a later date after verification. Councilman Martin �^
seconded, all in favor.
Resolution of the City of Wylie, Texas Adopting Certain Standardized
and Uniform Electrical and Plumbing Codes . Councilman Minihan
made motion, Mayor Pro-Tem Hall seconded, all in favor.
Mr. Ab Harrison came before Council to discuss problem of drainage
between Hilltop and Briarwood adjacent to E. Stone St . (FM 544) .
Mayor Akin instructed City Mgr. Dodson and Mayor Pro-Tem Hall to
look into drainage problems in this area.
Mr. Randy Strahan, representing Arapaho East, presented preliminary
plans on Wylie Ranch East Commercial to the Council . Mayor Pro-Tem
Hall made motion to approve preliminary plans subject to Hogan &
Rasor, Inc. , city engineers , apporval . Councilman Hughes seconded,
all in favor.
Mr. Don Morris , Lone Star Gas representative, came before Council
with request for easement across Park Land. Councilman Minihan
made motion that Council table for further study at next meeting .
Councilman Hughes seconded. All in favor.

Councilman Martin made motion that a new ordinance be drawn up
using Section A of proposed ordinance as main item, gasoline
.-- stored in residence. Councilman Hughes seconded, all in favor.
Mr. Dennis Masters and Mr. Frank Rasor submitted water line plans
to the Council for their review.
Mr. Bill Mills presented his complaint to the Council on being
charged sewer rates for a water leak on his property. Council-
man Martin made motion to consider leaks; seconded by Councilman
Hughes ; four in favor, one abstained.
Monthly R & D Reports , 3rd Quarter Report and Departmental reports
were presented to Council .
Councilman Minihan Made motion to adjourn into executive session.
Mayor Pro-Tem Hall seconded, all in favor.

SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
September 4 , 1979
7 : 00 p.m.
Present were Mayor Akin, Mayor Pro-Tem Hall , Councilmen Hughes ,
Kreymer, Minihan and Martin, City Mgr. Dodson, City Secretary
Sarah Connelly, Public Works Director W. A. Allen, Frank Rasor,
Dennis Masters & Bob Hogan, Hogan $ Rasor, Inc.
Invocation was given by Mayor Akin.
Engineers presented bid estimates of water system improvements
to Council . Also went over water tower proposal as to the designs
available and most useful to the City.
Councilman Minihan made motion to adjourn into executive session
at 8 : oo p.m. Don Hughes seconded. All in favor. i
