October 23 , 1979 ...
7 : 00 p.m.
Present were Mayor John Akin, Councilmen Rowland Kreymer, Pat Minihan,
William ?4artin, City Manager Dan Dodson, City Secretary Sarah
Connelly, City Attorney Ted Kent, Mr. Carl Riehn and Truett Smith
representing NTMWD, Mel Delaney, Tony Franzen, Mike Schweikhard
and Quinton Hicks representing Lone Star Gas . Absent were
Mayor Pro-Tem Hall and Councilman Hughes .
Mayor Akin called meeting to order at 7 : 00 p .m.
Councilman Minihan gave invocation.
Public hearing on a request for annexation of 158 acre tract of
land out of the Allen Atterbury Survey, Abst . #23 .
Public hearing on an Ordinance prescribing Parental Responsi-
bility for the Conduct of Minor Children.
Public Hearing on an Ordinance increasing the Refuse Service
Rates and Disposal Rates in and for the City of Wylie , Texas
Councilman Minihan made request to proceed with agenda as there
were on protest on any of the above public hearings . All in favor .
Consideration of an Ordindance annexing additional territory and —.
extending the boundary limits of the City of Wylie . Councilman
Martin made motion, seconded by Councilman Kreymer, all in favor.
Consideration of an Ordinance prescribing Parental Responsibility
for the Conduct of Minor Children. Councilman Kreymer made motion,
seconded by Councilman Minihan, all in favor .
Consideration of an Ordinance amending Ordinance #78-15 , prescribing
Refuse Collection and Disposal Rates in and for the City of Wylie .
Councilman Minihan made motion, seconded by Councilman Martin,
all in favor .
Mr. Carl Riehn, Executive Director of NTMWD came before the Council
to discuss the expansion of the Wylie Sewer Treatment Plant. He
also brought the Council up- to-date on the City' s permit.
Workshop discussion with Mike Schweikhard and Quinton Hicks ,
representatives of Lone Star Gas , regarding a Rate Request.
Councilman Minihan made motion to adjourn into executive session.
