10-30-1979 (City Council) Minutes SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
October 30 , 1979
7 : 00 p.m.
Present were Mayor Akin, Councilmen Hughes, Kreymer, Minihan, Martin,
City Manager Franzen, City Secretary Connelly, Cecil Hackler, Manager
of Wylie Area Chamber of Commerce . Absent were Mayor Pro-Tem Hall
and City Attorney Kent.
Invocation was given by Mayor Akin after meeting was called to order .
Mayor Akin administered Oath of Office to City Manager Tony Franzen.
Ordinance ordering imporvements to South Birmingham Street . Council -
man Minihan made motion, Councilman Hughes seconded, all in favor .
Discussion and consideration regarding the temporary closing of
Marble Street. Councilman Hughes made motion,- seconded by Council-
man Martin, all in favor.
Discussion and Consideration regarding the payment for the Engineer-
ing on the expansion of the Wylie Sewer Treatment Plant . Council-
man Martin made motion to make payment on 50/50 basis . Council-
man Minihan seconded. All in favor.
Councilman Martin made motion to cast 90 votes for Bo Daffin to
the Tax Assessor for County. Councilman Kreymer seconded, all in
favor.
Meeting adjourned at 8 : 30 p.m. in motion made by Councilman Minihan,
seconded by Councilman Kreymer, all in favor .
