Present were Mayor John Akin, Mayor Pro-Tem Roy Hall , Councilmen
Don Hughes , Rowland Kreymer, Pat Minihan and William Martin,
City. Manager Tony Franzen, City Attorney Ted Kent , City Secretary
Sarah Connelly, Kenneth Putnam, Glen Housewright, Bill Condron
and Hardy England representatives of TP$L, Buddy Masters , John
Housewright and Larry Allen. Meeting was called to order by Mayor
Akin. Invocation was given by Councilman Martin.
Councilman Minihan made motion to approve previous minutes and
monthly bills , seconded by Councilman Hughes , all in favor.
TPU, representatives Bill Condron and Hardy England made request
from TM for rate increase .
Councilman Martin made motion to adopt resolution delaying TPL
rate increase , Councilman Hall seconded, all in favor.
Councilman Hughes made motion to direct Mayor Akin and City
Manager Franzen to appear at hearing in Arlington on January 18 ,
1980 and to testify in opposition to the lowering of permit level
on waste discharge permit .

City Manager Franzen brought Council up-to-date on the efforts
being made to get a new hospital for Wylie .
Councilman Minihan made motion to adjourn at 8 : 30 p .m. Council-
man Martin seconded. All in favor.
