ON THIS , the 3rd day of June , 1980 , the City Council
of the City of Wylie, Texas , convened in special session at
the regular meeting place thereof in the City Hall , the
meeting being open to the public and notice of said meeting
having been given as prescribed by Article 6252-17 , Section
3A, V.A. T. C. S . , with the following members being present and
in attendance , to wit :

and with the following absent : none , .
constituting a quorum; and among other business considered
at said meeting, a resolution was submitted to the City -
Council for passage and adoption, such resolution being
entitled as follows :
"A RESOLUTION by the City Council of the City of
Wylie, Texas approving and authorizing the giving
of notice of intention to issue certificates of
obligation for the purpose of purchasing land for
authorized needs and purposes , to wit : City
parks and to pay a contract for professional
services of a financial advisor"
The resolution was read in full . Thereupon, Alderman
Hall made a motion that the resolution be finally
passed and adopted. The motion was seconded by Alderman
Hughes and carried by the following vote :
AYES : Aldermen Martin, Eavenson, Hall , Hughes and •
Kreymer
Noes : None
The Presiding Officer then announced that the resolution -- ,
had been finally passed and adopted.

A RESOLUTION by the City Council of the City of
Wylie, Texas, approving and authorizing the
giving of notice of intention to issue certificates
of obligation for the purpose of purchasing land
for authorized needs and purposes , to wit : City
parks , and to pay a contract for professional
services of a financial advisor.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wylie ; Texas ,
has determined that certificates of obligation should be issued
under and pursuant to authority conferred by Arti.cle 2368a.1 ,
V.A.T . C. S . , for the purpose of purchasing land for authorized
needs and purposes , to wit : City parks , and to pay a
contract for professional services of a financial advisor ;
and
WHEREAS, prior the the issuance of such certificates ,
the City Council is required to publish notice of its intention
to issue the same , such notice stating (i) the time and
place the Council tentatively proposed to pass an ordiance
authorizing the issuance of the certificates , (ii) the
maximum amount to be authorized, (iii) the purposes for
which the certificates are to be issued, and (iv) the manner
in which the City Council proposes to pay the certificates ;
now, therefore ,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WYLIE, TEXAS :
SECTION 1 : That the City Secretary is hereby authorized
and directed to cause notice to be published of the City
Council 's intention to meet on the 8th day of July, 1980 at
7:00 o'clock P .M. , and, during such meeting , pass an
ordinance authorizing the issuance of certificates of obligation
in an amount not to exceed $130 , 000 for the purpose of
purchasing land for authorized needs and purposes , to wit :
City parks , and to pay a contract for professional services
to a financial advisor, such certificates to be payable from
ad valorem taxes . The notice to be published (the form and
content of which is hereby approved) shall read substantially
as follows :
SECTION 2 : That said notice shall be published once a
week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general
circulation in the City , the date of the first publication
to be at least fourteen (14) days prior to the date stated
therein for the passage of the ordinance authorizing the
issuance of the certificates of obligation.
