12-15-1931 (City Council) Minutes Minutes of City Council Meeting Held December 15, 1931
Council met on above date with all present, a letter from the GL& SF Railway in regard to street lights
was read and discussed, was moved and second that secretary be instructed to write them that city
does not wish to give them authority to discontinue their street lights, motion carried. Also had a letter
from Hall & Hall in regard to Bond money, sent them 1122.00 for Bond#3.
The question of city putting down walk from Mrs Frannie Martin as far as nescessary and repairing bal of
walk to school building discussed, moved and sec that city do so, motion carried.The mayor appointed
E. Hanservy, R.L. Gallagher and C.L. Hillis to see that the sitting pool at water works was recovered.
The question of relief for the needy was taken up and the council asked the mayor to call a mass
meeting citizens to thresh out this matter. Said meeting to me called to meet Friday December 18, at 3
pm. By motion and second the mayors salary for the next term was left unchanged. Bills were allowed as
follows I.V. Boren 1.20,Albus Davis 4.00, Elliott Lbr Co 88.10, No further business council adjourned.
