01-14-1932 (City Council) Minutes Minutes of City Council Meeting Held January 14, 1932 Council met on above date with mayor,Alderman Hanswright, Brown and Gallagher,Atty Duncan, Marshal Harnmitt and Albus Davis present. Minutes of previous meeting read and approved. The committee in charge of repairing the covering of the sitting pool at Water works plant reported the work finished and were discharged.The marshall reported that Silvertor Bradley had settled his misdemeanor case and was discharged from the docket. Alderman Boren's statement as treasurer and his resignation as Alderman was read and accepted on motion and second a rising vote of thanks was recorded for Mr. Boren for his efforts in behalf of the city. Alderman Gallagher having moved from the city offered his resignation which was accepted.The Mayor with the concent of the council appointed J.C.Jennings to fill the unexpired term of Mr. Gallagher. Under head of funeral business a committee from the fire dept was present and asked for authority to raise some extra money for the department by asking water users to donate .10 per month same to be added to their water account. Alderman Brown then offerred a resolution to donate 10.00 per month to the fire department from the water fund after a second motion carried, was moved and second that Mr. Brown be allowed his taxes for his efforts toward repairing the streets of the city, motion carried. Bills allowed, Gamon Mitre Co 95.00 on Sewer warrants 500.00, Elliott Lbr Co 139.10,J.T. Lang 2.45,J.A. Kreyiner 3.10, Ed Andsews 1.26,A. Brown 2.25,J.R.Jones 1.00, M.
