01-16-1933 (City Council) Minutes Minutes of City Council Meeting Held January 16, 1933 The council meet on the above date with all members present except E. Hausewright. Minutes of last meeting were read with a few corrections, were aproved. J.A. Hammett reported he had collected around 561.00,the past month. Was moved and sec that the city have a clean up, was left up to street committee to look after this matter, motion carried. J.C.Jennings brought the matter before the council, about E.W. Phillips porporsal to move into city hall under the Election Law and insurance, motion carried. Albert Davis as Fire Marshal resignation was read. Was moved and sec that the council accept Albert Davis resignation, motion carried. Was moved and sec to apoint Ray Pitts as fire marshall, motion carried. Was moved and sec to allow the following Bills TP & L Co street lights 39.00 TP & L Co pump station 42.60 R.C. Squires labor on dues to city 2.55 H.J Harper printing and cards 12.50 fire department 10.00 Gulf Refinery Co oil 1.40 N.A. Smithmeh gas paid 1.50 J.C.Jennings gas and oil 2.75 J.R.Jones one month salary 60.00 A. Davis salary and stamps 3.00 night watchman one month 10.00 J.C. Purken gas and oil 2.75 Crane co bill 2.40 J.A.
