05-16-1932 (City Council) Minutes Minutes of City Council Meeting Held May 16, 1932 City council met on above date with all members present. Minutes of last meeting were read with some correction made, were approved. Mr. Hammett reported that he had collected around 62.00 taxes since last meeting night. But had promise of more when the oinons were gathered. Mr. Brown informed the council that he was doing his best to keep the duches and alliys open and wanted the help of the council in this matter. A letter was read from the Loledo Securities Co in regard to bonds, council informed clerk. W Rerete then and tell them that it would be around July 1 before any part could be paid. Was moved and sec that the Tornado one Palwey on water tower be accepted, motion carried. J.A. Hammett informed the council that J.A. Wilson wanted to do city mowing and apply on taxes, was left up to street committees,the council informed J.R.Jones to start puting oil in sewer plant once a week. It was moved and sec that Mr. Brown be paid 20.00 for his service on street motion council. It was moved and sec that city clerk write northern Texas Telephone Co for cut in rates, residents 1.50, business 2.00, motion carried. Was moved and sec that E. Hausewright carry around a pilitior to get Tex PPL Co to cut the maximum to 1.00, motion carried.The following bill were allowed, LPPL Co pump 36.80, Garant Trust Co sum warrents 200.00,J.T. Latta Jns 20.10,J.D. Russell Gar Vail 2.60,A. Brown Labor 21.70, C.E. Stuert(Squnes) Labor 4.20,A. Davis salary Gard Duties, Strout work 9.30, S.G. Allison 18, Burrels 9.00, Gallagher and Granell 9.50,J.L. Long Labor 7.50,J.C.Jennings gas paid 6.11,J.R.Jones salary 30.00, night watchman 10.00. No further business council adjourned.
