10-16-1931 (City Council) Minutes Minutes of City Council Meeting Held October 16, 1931
Council met on above date with all present except Alderman C.L. Hillis, after prayer by Alderman A.
Brown business was transated as follows, Bond ofJ.A. Hammitt as marshall was read and approved by
vote of the council.The question of collecting the fines due the City was discussed and the marshal was
instructed to use due diligence in collecting those fines.The charge against Ryan Strange for disturbance
was discussed from the docket by the mayor. Was agreed to pay J.T. Elliott Lbr Co 115.00 on account.
The following bills were ordered paid,TP & L Co for Power 65.20, I. V. Brown 1.60, Sterary Mitre (?) Co
3.27,A. Davis salary 4.00, Com 5.80, Briggs Weaver Co 8.00, Sonny Welasm .50, E. Hanscury LL for water
collection 60.00. No further business council adjourned.
