04-16-1934 (City Council) Minutes April 16. 1934
Council met in regular session on the above date with all members present except J.H.
Calloway.
Minutes of last meeting was read and approved.
Motion & sec to allow the Fire Boys $10.00 extra each month on new fire truck till same
is paid for. Motion carried.
Motion & sec to retain J.R. Jones as city pumper salary $60.00. Motion carried.
The following appointments was made by the Mayor.
Homer Birch— Mayor Protem
A. Brown Street Committee
J.H. Calloway Sewer Supervisor
J.W. Rees Treasurer
W.F. Duncan City Attorney
J.W. Jennings Water Collector
Jess Calloway Fire Marshall
Dr. P.J. Brooks Health Officer
Motion & sec to move city warehouse from present site to location on west-end of pump
station property and rebuild same.
Motion & sec to allow street tax worked out in cemetery when not needed on the streets.
Motion carried.
Motion & sec to pay uncollected balance on cleaning toilets. Motion carried.
Motion & sec to refund a $3.00 water deposit to H.A. Smith week when receipt for same
is presented for collection. Motion carried.
Motion & sec that city marshall except an unknown tax compromise.
Motion & sec, to accept another unknown tax compromise. Motion carried.
Motion & sec. and motion carried to allow the following bills. As far as the money will
go.
