07-23-1936 (City Council) Minutes July 23 — 1936
The City Concil of the town of wylie "Tex" met in Special Call session in the city hall,
with all members present.
Motion & Second to have Ed Wood to come and survey street by Mrs Whites Hotel
for the purpose of getting the natural flow of the water that passes in front and and the
south side of the Hotel. This is all for the purpose of determining whether to use a cement
box or cement dip across Main street between White hotel and Burchs Garage.
Motion Carried.
Motion & Second the city of Wylie take over the Fire Dept and secure all funds on hand
and apply some on all outstanding indebtiness.
Motion Carried.
Motion & Second the city of Wylie appoint Ernest Housewright City Fire Master and let
him appoint the Fire chief if he doesn't care to accept or act as chief himself and re
organize the Fire Dept. Motion Carried.
Motion & Second to allow Stewart&Hillis $16.50 for ins. on water tower and tank and
to allow D B Willis $11.00 for mowing streets and on the sewerage property. Motion
Carried..
