12-15-1936 (City Council) Minutes December 15th 1936 The city council of the City of Wylie "Tex" met in regular session with all members present. The minutes of last meeting was read and approved. Motion & Second the clerk write the Han-over Bank& Trust co. N.Y. to recover $3000 on deposit in this Bank to the credit of wylie Tex Bond and warrant account. Motion Carried. Motion & Second, - Clerk to have printed in the Wylie Herald, for Bids from all local Banks for four week the Handling of the citys interest& sinking fund and General accounts. Motion Carried. Motion & Second A. Brown be allowed a Budget of$1200"Twelve & no/100" for draggin the streets. Motion Carried. The Mayor withdrew all previous appointments to be effective immediately. (1) To with-draw street committee A. Brown and R.L. Gallagher (2) To with-draw water collections from pumpstation and J.R. Jones (3) To with draw"Treasurer" from J.W. Reese Appointments to take effect at once Jesse Calloway Treasurer Requirements (1) To with draw present Bond and make the city new Bond of$200000 (2) To make city written statement of Financial conditions of Water& Sumary Collections once a month, a record of Delinquent Water& Sumary users. (3) That no cash be used as payments, only checks be used (4) All Taxes or any revenue be collected other than Jess be turned over to Jess once A week and a Deposit be made at least once every two weeks (5) Any Concilman or the Mayor seeing any street work or any other matter covering city expense, will apply to Jess Calloway for an order Signed by the Mayor before work or purchase can be void. Motion & Second city concil approve previous appointment with drowels and approve the new appointments by the Mayor. Motion Carried. Motion & Second to appoint Fred Gallagher to audit all Books from J R. Jones & J.W. Rees to Jess Calloway and render a statement to city concil next regular meeting nite of his findings. Motion Carried Motion & Second To allow Jess Calloway $2600 twenty Six per month plus $4°°Fire Marshall fee. Motion Carried Motion & Second to pay J.C. Jennings $7.50 for culvert or drain Box in front of his previous station (Calson lot)Motion Carried Motion & Second All bills be allowed paid as read Motion Carried C.A.
