The City Concil of the city of Wylie Tex met in regular session in the city Hall with all
members present.
After some discussion with all members present in regard to the operation of the
swing pool, there was a Motion& second to close or discontinue operations of the swing
pool at once. Motion Carried.
The Mayor Appointed a Water& Sewer Committee, also a street and Bridge
Committee Jick Housewright, G. P. Maynard and C. R. Smith was appointed to serve on
the water& Sewer committee. A Brown and Fay Moore to serve on street&Bridge
committee. Dr. G. P. Maynard was appointed Mayor pro-tem.
Motion & Second Concil approved the Mayors appointments and the
appointments will be effective through April 1938.
Motion Carried.
The following named persons can secure Vouchers and be issued checks with out
waiting for a regular meeting of the city concil to approve them. J. R. Jones, water service
employee Ed Davis night watchman, A. K. McDonald rent on Sewing room Building,
Gas &Light Bills,
John Story not to exceed $200 per week
Bill-Goode&Howard delinquent tax collectors for the city of wylie,
Motion & Second to cut of all water where the bill is not paid promply.

Aug 16- 1937
Motion & Second to Adopt Ordniance# 1-2. and said ordniance was read the times in the
regular meeting Aug 16-1937. Motion Carried.
Motion & Second to allow J R Jones $10��Extra for extra time rendered pumping
water for swing pool. Motion Carried.
Motion & Second Mayor appoint a Committee of 3 members to work to-ward
lowering the gas rate in the city of wylie.
Motion Carried..
C R. Smith Jick Housewright and Jess Calloway was appointed on said
Committee.
Motion & Second all bills be allowed paid as read except Muller Co bill of$1676
and Briggs Weaver Machy co bill of$22.26 acct hold these for an Itimesed statement and
if found to be ok then pay these to Bills.

An ordinance prohibiting traveling tent shows„rodeos , etc., in the cooperate city
limits of Wylie, Texas or within the 200 feet of church, dwelling,or school house.
Be it ordained by the city council of Wyliee :that after the passage of this
ordinance it shall be unlawfull for any traveling or other show or rodeo, doll rack,
shooting gallery,skating rink, dance hall,carnival,etc,-eith either free or for profit,to show
or give a performance,within 200 feet of any dwelling, church, or school house within the
citylimits of Wylie,Texas
This ordinance repeals any conflicting ordinances there with and we declare an
emergencyand ask that both ordinances take effect at once. Anyone found guilty ofthis
act is subject to a fine from 5 to20 dollars or improsement not less than f5or more than 20
days
