09-15-1937 (City Council) Minutes Sept 15=1937
The City Concil of the Town of wylie Tex met in regular session in the city hall with all
members present except C R. Smith and he came in soon after the meeting opened.
The Minutes of last regular meeting and two Call Meetings was read and
approved„ By motion& Second=Motion Carried.
Motion & Second the Mayor appoint a Committee of three. to investigate the
telephone rates and try to get the rates covered.. The committee is G. P. Maynard. Jick
Housewright and C. R. Smith. Motion Carried.
Motion & Second City Marshall J. A. Hammett see that the law of the town is
inforced. Motion Carried.
W. F. Duncan was appointed City Attorney by Mayor J. W. Akin.
Motion & Second the Mayor's appaietmints be approved. Motion Carried.
Motion & Second city sell four pistons out of old Fordcar for Two Dollars $200
Motion Carried.
Motion & Second Street Committee spend $1200 (Twelve& no/100 Dollars) for
weed cutting where the labor can be secured.. Motion Carried.
Motion & Second All bills be allowed paid as read except the August Ba??? bills
of$2.2) and if this is found to be ok it can be paid. Motion Carried.
Motion & Second J. W. Akin Bond of One Thousand dollars ($100000) be
Accepted with Jick Housewright name struck out or taken off. Motion Carried.
