11-15-1937 (City Council) Minutes Nov- 15th - 1937 The City Council of the town of Wylie, Texas meet in regular session at the City Hall With all members present. The minutes of last meeting were read and approved. Mr. Wright ask to paint the water tower and tank. but was decided to get other bids on the job. The City Attorney was ask to file suit to move Rex Goodson from the street motion and second to furnish Mrs A. Russell at the Sewing room Ten dollars ($10.00)to buy material to make toys for the under-priviligded children of Wylie providing the finished product is all returned to Wylie. Motion Carried. Motion and second that we patch the street leading East by Groves Gin also three (3) loads to patch other low places with local gravel under the supervision of Mr. A. Brown. motion carried. The Council requested to grant Mrs Chapman the privilege to operate a dance hall. Motion and second to refund C. A. Stone Five dollars ($5.00)for deposit paid on meter, and same to be removed, motion carried. Motion and Second to give authority to Glen Daniel to lease City Hall for what ever purpose it used. Motion and second to furnish A. Brown Four dollars ($4.00)to blade street tomorrow if it doesn't rain. Motion Carried.
